Honour Leads To Breakthrough | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

There is one thing about life: Respect as a virtue in itself, opens doors for breakthroughs in your life. There are opportunities in life that only come when you have the right posture of being able to express yourself in a respectful manner. The culture of being disrespectful has closed doors that locked out people who desire to be successful.

Remember that those that are below you in the ladder of success are not going to remain below forever. And even if they do, bear in mind that you might need them to facilitate your growth in life depending on the way you handle them.

Those who are above you are also important to help you. Even if they may not necessarily appeal to you in your current circumstances, you should accord them their due respect by virtue of their position in life and the fact that you too will one day ascend to occupy their position.

Those that are above you can propel your ascension even as they ascend to higher ranks. Thus, don’t compete with them for your own sake. Don’t trample on those that are below you, or even anyone who hasn’t attained the success you currently have.

Disrespecting others is tantamount to shutting yourself out from the realm of possibilities that you are trusting God for. Dishonouring people who have been there for you, may stop your growth in life.

There are careers that can grow when you demonstrate your commitment to respecting and honouring others. Not everything in life depends on your credentials or skillset. Some employers consider your posture as well as character.

There are people who have failed job interviews, prior to being interviewed by panelists. As in, you may think that you should be interviewed upon invitation, but sometimes employers do a background check on you using the people who are closest to you and know your life. By the time you appear before an interview, your fate is already decided. The interview is just a formality.

There are certain opportunities and privileges that you can miss when you disrespect others and dishonour those who are ahead of you. Disrespectful behaviour can lead you into a stagnated career and business opportunities. Dishonourable acts can frustrate your life in many ways. You can lose your job/career, marriage, and other prospects in life.

There are certain doors that once closed, you can’t open them no matter how penitent or apologetic you are. Once they are shut, they remain closed forever. That’s why you can’t afford to lose your life/purpose or destiny to your dishonourable conduct. Don’t allow your disrespectful behaviour to shut down your life.

God resists the proud but He gives grace to the humble. Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God and He will lift you up. The way that God resists the proud is through those you meet in your seasons. They may be people who are either below your level or above your level. They may not be what you expect. They may not conform to your expectations but they are ordained by God to be around you by reason of your season.

In every season, God will cause people to be around you to be used as facilitators to make you enter your next level. In the same, God uses people as facilitators to make certain individuals to go down because of their misconduct. Make sure you aren’t such a person. Don’t be a victim of your own misdemeanours.

May you tap into the spirit of divine grace to be successful in your life. Have a divinely responsible day!
