Be A Person Of Conviction | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

A man/woman of firm convictions is one who is not inconsistent with his/her own values. You must be rooted in values that are consistent with what the Scriptures say, not what you want the Scriptures to say, regardless of what the circumstances may be.

You must have convictions that are consistent enough for you to be taken seriously by God. God doesn’t oscillate from one side of the spectrum to the other. He is always on His side. The only way to have God on your side is for you to be on His side.

A person of convictions is not swayed by the trends of the time. A person of values is not the type to keep hovering around the corner, hoping to take advantage of the opportunity that he/she presumes is his/hers to prove a point.

When you are rooted in the rudiments of faith, you will be still, and let the Lord be exemplified in your life. You will wait on the Lord for direction and guidance to make your decisions based on the word of truth, not on the streams of a deformed soul.

Life is all about living for God and being resolved to fulfill your purpose. Every conviction that is founded on the principles of the word of God can stand the test of time. Convictions that are biblically proven are devoid of the artifices of any kind.
