Spiritual People & Sinners | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

Spiritual people handle spiritual things in a spiritual manner. Spiritual people understand the spiritual things. They are also able to handle other people who are spiritual.

If you are spiritual, you are able to control yourself and exercise restraint in order to avoid violating others. You are able to consecrate yourself to live a life that is pleasing to God.

A spiritual person never despises anyone who comes to church and is in a pathetic state. If sinners come to church, allow them to be. It doesn’t matter whether he or she is a prostitute, drunkard, drug addict, thief, robber etc. Let the sinners come to church. Our duty is to play our part and leave the rest to God. It’s God who transforms people from evil to righteousness.

If you notice anyone whom you don’t know that comes to church, go out of your way to welcome that person. If he or she appears messy, sit with the person and let them know that no matter how bad their situation is, the Lord loves them.

Don’t give up on sinners even though they may be difficult to deal with. Trust God for wisdom to guide you to your path of handling sinners.

Same case applies to backsliders. Keep following up on them until they are eventually converted. Some of them may not have food to eat; use your funds to buy them food. If they don’t have good clothes to wear, give them your old clothes to wear but not clothes that are worn out or torn.

This the true ministry of Jesus.
