The Power Of Humility | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

The safest abode for you in your life is the place of humility. Humility is simply living in the reality of Who you are in the Lord based on your acceptance of Him and the acceptance of yourself in His will.

Humility is the only place where you are true to yourself without any fear or doubt of being just “you” in the Lord. It is not trying to do things to prove a point or prove yourself as a person. It is your inner person that has the potential to make a case for Christ. The inner person doesn’t make any case for you.

Humility is the power to be able to draw your best out of your intrinsic value as a son of God. A humble person is able to traverse the realms of his/her ordinations in the midst of the limitations of the present moment.

Humility is the covering that insulates a believer from the prevalent evil of the systems and patterns that govern the sphere of humanity.

Pride incapacitates all those who abide within its sphere of influence. Pride makes it impossible for anyone to soar above the tides of chaos and the darkness that engulfs the world. True strength is infused by the spirit of humility, which comes from the throne of Christ.

A humble person is the one that moves only when God moves. He will not make any move to prove that God is behind his decisions. He may appear foolish to wait, but in waiting, he is drawing closer to the wells of wisdom that he needs for his successive years of life. He or she will be carried along by the Spirit of God to access the infinite possibilities.

The power of infusion is the wisdom of God. It is a power that demonstrates the divine nature of the Lord in the vessel of humility. It’s only a humble vessel that has the immense potential to handle the glory of God.

A humble person has no life of his own or desires of his own. He has no vision of his own. He has no future of his own. The only life he has is Christ. The only desires he has is Christ. The only vision he has is Christ and the only future he has is Christ. Humble people are dead to self and the world.

Humble people have the ability to surrender all their successes and failures to Christ. Immediately they fail or succeed, they will literally lose everything they have ever been or achieved. They will surrender their failures in order to win what Christ has already won.

Such people are trusted by the Lord because they own nothing, believe in nothing, are nothing in themselves. They only glory in their knowledge of Christ and live for the purpose of Christ.
