Divine Wisdom For Business & Career | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

I know most of you have a desire for business, which is good. Nonetheless, it’s important for you to establish what is God’s business model in life in light of His purpose. Please note that God’s business model is not multiple. He only has one business model and His business plan remains the same since the time He ordained that He is to create the heavens and the earth.

That very pristine business model is the antecedent for all successful business models that are are based on His transcendent purpose through which He authenticated His vision. The foundation for business is not money, or anything else but God. When you place God as the only foundation for your business, you can be sure to yield the most valuable results.

People out there are reinventing themselves by whatever seems to be trending; yet, God doesn’t reinvent Himself because He believes in His organic nature. The power to succeed is derived from your perception of who you are and your ability to believe in what you carry within your being. That’s what you ought to market. You don’t start to market any product that has no reference to its origin. What makes a product sell is its original value and its potential to become more valuable in solving problems.

How valuable are you to provide solutions? Or are you you just peddling your academic credentials and purported “street smart” prowess, expecting the society to take you seriously? Even if they took you seriously today, what is your guarantee that they will take you seriously posthumously?

A born again believer should first and foremost invest in being spiritual. You must take time to invest yourself in the spiritual process of life to be able to setup a heightened awareness of who you are.

Business is all about being conscious of your identity. It’s not money or looking for opportunities. Your pristine identity is the most valuable asset to be conscious about. Within your pristine identity are the depths of wisdom you need to extract the revelation of innovations that will help the human race. Your pristine identity is the only minefield that carries untapped potential for you and your generation. It all depends on how you view yourself.

Strategy number one for business investment is to lose. Invest in what you must lose. Don’t invest to gain. You invest and lose your investment. What you lose will eventually be gained bountifully. You gain from your loss indirectly. So invest and lose the seed of your investment, not the profit that you make. Your initial profit doesn’t belong to you; rather, it belongs to the idea of investment. You are to invest your profit in the source of your investment, which is the original vision or idea behind your investment. Investing in your original vision or idea is basically tapping into the source of power that will make your business multiply. That power is what will fuel your future gain from your initial loss. The secret being the expansion of your business to make it yield returns is not to consume profits; rather, to reinvest your profits into the expansion. You gain back your seed investment while letting the profits grow in the process of expansion. Am I talking to business men and women who understand what I am saying?

What grows a business is not the seed investment but the profits. Without investing the profits you can’t grow your business no matter what you do. Within your profits is the seed capital that you invest back to your business in order for it to grow in anticipation for your next level or venture.

Every business has its unique identity that is derived from the visionary. The strength and weakness of the business is dependent on how well or badly it draws from its own identity. Thus, if you are conscious of your identity and believe in “you”, then what you do will be sustained by your belief in yourself.

You mustn’t just go about marketing ideas or products that are not drawn from your identity. Before you market your products, make sure that you become the first product. Be the merchandise that you want to sell to people. Once you master the art of marketing yourself (through some of sort of personal branding and packaging yourself within your intrinsic value of your identity), then you’ll have the ability to create a brand of the products that you want people to sell. You must appear as a solution that people are looking for before you peddle your products; your products will work for people who can see you working for yourself.

In business, don’t ever lose yourself. Don’t lose sight of who you are. Who you are determines what you do. Who you are defines what path you choose to follow and how you will live through your life journey.

Yes, you may lose money in the course of investment but you mustn’t lose your identity. Every loss is an opportunity for you to gain some more confidence to keep going because your invaluable asset is your identity. Remember that your identity has all the solutions to life problems. A flopped business deal doesn’t necessarily mean you have failed. The only failure that can happen is if you lose your focus on who you are in God and start focusing more on what you’re doing to the point where you convert your achievements into your idol. That’s failure.

Moreover, your current losses is not a failure; rather, your loss is a result of your inability to see beyond your current situation and being in constant touch with your identity. Maybe, you could be experiencing setback in your business because it doesn’t derive itself from your identity. The scroll of your destiny has no blueprint for your business model; thus, you have to rethink your approach and consult with your identity to see what blueprint is preset within the scroll of your destiny.

Successful business owners practice the principle of calling oneself to a personal meeting. You should be calling yourself to a meeting between you and yourself. Such a meeting will help you review the things that you are trying to accomplish in relation to the way you perceive yourself. At least once a month of such a meeting is not a bad idea for you. What do you think?

In business, never see yourself as the problem; neither should you see yourself as being incapable of doing business. Everyone is a business man or woman depending on how you understand the broader concept of business and how you view yourself in business. There’s no such a thing as being called to be an employee of a company owned by someone else (most times you don’t even know who the owner is). You are called to do business and the first product to market is you. You market yourself as a pristine brand that is packaged in your identity.

So even if you are currently employed, bear in mind that you are a business person within your employment field. Whatever assignment you have is not necessarily for the company per see; it’s your assignment and you must use the opportunity to market yourself as you build your networks for the future. An employee is an apprentice. An apprentice should not be confined to the workplace or position. He or she should soar above the level of their company to access the realms of wisdom that carries the divine counsel of God for business prospects. Take this to the bank.
