Before I actually proceed to my sermon, there is a word that the Lord, or rather a message, let me call it a word and a message, that God dropped in my spirit last night, and this is not a word just to Infinite Fellowship Ministries. It is also a word that is applicable to the Body of Christ.
So whenever I use the word – the Church – I do not want us to begin to think that I’m talking about INFEMI. The Church basically means the Body of the Lord, the Body of Jesus Christ. And this particular word, I would actually say that the inspiration comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:10-12.
And indeed, you do so toward all the brethren who are in all Macedonia, but we urge you, brethren, that you increase more and more, that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to walk with your own hands as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.
1 Thessalonians 4:10-12
Ladies and gentlemen, this word is basically in relation to the year 2024, to the Body of Christ.
The Lord began by telling me, to tell the church that the year 2024 is a year whereby you ought to be less talkative than you previously have been. It is a year whereby you must be more of a good listener, and you talk less. Do not be quick to talk, but be quick to listen.
This is a year whereby your opinion is immaterial to the will of God. What you perceive, what you think, as far as God is concerned for this year, is immaterial. What you covet, what you want, is not as important. It is not more important than what God feels, or what God thinks or desires for you.
This is a year whereby Church, as per what we read in Scripture, you’re called to lead a quiet life, where you avoid being everywhere, and you avoid being with everybody. Now, it doesn’t mean that those places where you’re supposed to avoid are necessarily bad. It doesn’t mean that everybody’s bad except you.
It’s just that you must understand the pattern and the design of your life that God has called you to be, because you can be in a place that God has not ordained you to be, and every other person will flourish except you.
So the problem is not the environment. The problem is not people. The problem is where God wants you to be, or rather the problem is you being in the wrong place. That means you must find out from God at every time or season this year, where does He expect you to be, and with whom are you supposed to be? That’s very fundamental.
God expects us to only show up in places and with people when it is absolutely necessary, because the reason as to why you must show up in some places, the reason why you must show up in the midst of people is to fulfill the will of God, because you do not live for yourself.
Beloved, this year of 2024, if you want to sail through, you must spend quality and quantity time in the prayer closet, as well as also committing yourself to the diligent study of the word of God. Otherwise, you are supposed to mind your own business, focus on your personal life, rather than being distracted by others or what they are involved in. This is not a time for us to think about what other people are doing. The Bible says you must work out your salvation with fear and trembling. The Bible does not say that you must work out somebody’s salvation, your own salvation.
And then the other thing is, do not let the negative energy of others influence your life or make you feel like you need to do something about it. Beloved, it is very important to understand and to appreciate the fact that we are in the midst of people who have lots of issues that they are going through. And if you get so much involved in whatever is going on, especially when they exhibit traits of negative energy, it might affect you. So you need to leave people alone because people belong to God, they don’t belong to you, neither do they belong to a church or a minister.
Every member of the human race belongs to God. So don’t get caught up with whatever is happening around you, beloved. You should not get involved in the affairs of people because everyone has got his or her own life to live. Do not live the life of other people. Don’t spend so much time investing in people at the expense of your own life.
Live your own life as an individual, mind your own business and do whatever you’re supposed to do. Whatever is not concerning you, don’t get involved. Even if you probably might feel that you have a solution. You know, just because you have a solution to something that you see in society, just because you think you can help somebody figure out what he or she needs does not mean that you should do something, unless God has led you. Because, beloved, God is not short of sorting out people. He is not short of sorting out people. He can sort out everybody, whether saved or not saved, and that is why you should not judge people. Don’t judge lest you be judged. That’s very fundamental. Mind your own life, beloved. Live your own life.
You see, there’s something that God spoke to me a few years ago, but it came out also in this particular message. The less you know what is happening in people’s lives, the better for you. You know, sometimes you want to know everything. You want to know everything that is going on in people’s lives, and sometimes, you know, there are things that when you get to know, they’ll hurt you. You’ll get affected. You’ll get discouraged. It might probably cause you to even lose your faith in God. Okay?
And, you see, the devil always wants us to get into people’s business. He wants us to know what is going on in a particular person, what is happening in this other individual, and so on, and God is saying this. You must mind about what He wants you to know, and remember this: even though you may know so much about people, what you know is just fragments. It’s not everything, so the lesser you know what is happening in people’s lives, the better for you.
Mind your own life and focus on the things of God. The Bible says you set your mind on things above and not things below. There’s always a temptation for us to set our minds on what is happening down, but God wants you to set your mind on things above.
That’s very, very important, and, you know, there are certain things that are going on in people’s lives that you’re not meant to be involved in because if you try to involve yourself in what is going on in people’s lives, it will not add value to you.
When God wants you to get involved in somebody’s life, it’s because He knows there’s value. There’s value that you’re going to add in an individual’s life, and there’s also value you’re going to gain, but until God sends you, until God allows you to be involved in people’s lives, just know one thing. Whatever you do will not add value to that person, neither will it add value to you.
This is a year, beloved, I know this might sound like it’s a repetition, but, you know, there’s no such a thing as a repetition when it comes to the word of truth. This is a year of separation, Church. This is a year whereby you must separate yourself, and this is how the message comes.
You must separate yourself from the things that are extrinsically present by being more intrinsically present in your life than you are extrinsically. In other words, do not get involved in externalities. If you want to understand the externalities of life, then you must be more intrinsic. Understand what is going on internally. The mystery of that which is external is whatsoever is happening internally.
This is a year, beloved, whereby you must decrease and let Christ increase. You must become less prominent in order for Christ to grow more prominent in your life. It is a year, beloved, whereby you must depart from your current level of prominence so as to allow others to ascend to their new level of prominence. In other words, what the Spirit of the Lord is saying, let it not be a year whereby we are competing. If you have been shining, understand at the epitome of shining, that is the time whereby you prepare your transition from the stage of shining so that somebody else may take charge.
What God is saying is that it should be a year whereby instead of spending time bringing other people down, let us invest in stirring up every one of us unto good works. That is very fundamental, beloved.
So that is the message that God dropped in my spirit. And of course, I was able to check. Anytime when God speaks to you, the very first thing you must confirm is to whether is that message in line with the Scriptures or not. That’s very fundamental. That is how you actually are able to get more and more balance.
