Remember Where You’ve Come From | From Bishop Gobanga’s Desk

It’s important to remember where you have come from. There was once a time when you were not doing well and you had struggles. Maybe you had financial difficulties, health issues, family problems, etc. Nonetheless, you overcame your challenges because the Lord gave you the grace to go through your times of suffering.

Remember that you once lived under the roof of your parent’s house, or you were being hosted by a friend/relative. But today, you have your own place of residence. You were once jobless but today, you’re employed and earning a salary. You were once single but today you are married.

Don’t forget that you have come from far. The Lord has blessed you with what you have at present and you have a reason to praise the Lord.

Remember give thanks to God. Always dedicate a time in every month for a moment of thanksgiving to God. He is the one who has made you to be who you are. It’s not your effort or anything that you have done to become.

Giving thanks to God is not limited to prayers alone. Find something that you can do as a demonstration of being thankful to God. Look for someone in need to help. If you don’t know whom to assist, contact me and I will advise on how to assist a person in need.

Never take people for granted. Don’t look down upon someone who is struggling. God is able to lift someone from the pit of misfortune to make him or her experience a blissful life.
